Mike Johnson - Africa2035: Transforming Communities Through Medical Care

Mike Johnson serves as Major Initiatives Director at GFA World, where he leads Africa 2035 — a $150M initiative to build a hospital and medical university campus in Kigali, Rwanda. The campus will include Believers International Hospital (300+ beds), Believers International Medical University (seven colleges), and an Advanced Research and Treatment Center focused on oncology, modeled after Believers Church Medical College Hospital in Kerala, India — a proven institution serving over a million patients annually.

For more than two decades, Mike has worked in global humanitarian development, traveling repeatedly to South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. He has met face-to-face with community leaders, medical workers, and field teams — building the relationships and firsthand understanding that now inform every dimension of Africa 2035. He also regularly engages business and organizational leaders across the U.S., connecting them to the mission and the opportunity.

Africa 2035 is currently in partnership development with leading U.S. research universities. Mike and his family are based in Wills Point, Texas, where GFA World is headquartered.
